Industrial Painter – Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. This role involves supporting a variety of industrial projects, including swing stage operation, surface preparation, caulking, mixing multi-part paints, and setting up/cleaning equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow directions and paint according to specifications
- Prepare surfaces, including blasting (SSPC SP-5, 6, 7, 10 as required)
- Perform caulking, taping, and surface protection prior to painting
- Set up and operate conventional and airless spray equipment
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools and equipment, including:
- Compressors
- Forklifts
- Vehicles
- Scissor lifts & boom lifts
- Heavy machinery
- Perform minor equipment repairs
- Assist with sandblasting, water-blasting, and spray painting
Basic Requirements
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the painting field
- Knowledge of painting application techniques and materials
- Familiarity with commonly used paints, thinners, and their proper applications
- Swing stage experience is a plus
- Strong self-motivation, initiative, and flexibility
- Team-oriented with the ability to work in diverse groups
- Professional attitude and demeanor at all times
Additional Requirements
- Full mobility: ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, climb, push, pull, bend, and squat for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs (with assistance if needed)
- Comfortable working at heights, including ladders and rooftops
- Must pass a pulmonary exam for respirator use
- Willingness to undergo employer-provided medical testing for:
- Respirator wear
- Lead-level monitoring
